‘Oud’ is the result of a mould infection in the heartwood of Aquilaria trees. Prioir to infection this heartwood is light, pale & odourless; however, as the mould develops the tree responds by producing a dark aromatic resin called Agar or Oud. Because of its rarity first grade Oud is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world! & it adds an oriental, woody, soft, smokiness…
